About

This resource was developed by Everymind in partnership with the National Mental Health Commission.

Everymind is a leading institute dedicated to the prevention of mental ill-health and suicide. The Institute has been delivering successful mental health and suicide prevention programs for over 30 years and is recognised for delivery of world-leading prevention programs and high-quality translational research. Mindframe has been managed by Everymind since 2002.

The Mindframe Image Guidelines are a practical research-informed resource for the use of images in public communication about mental health, mental ill-health, suicide and self-harm and alcohol and other drugs (AOD). These guidelines are designed to inform, support and empower media and others to use images in ways that minimise harm, stigma and discrimination while maximising diversity of representation and help-seeking behaviour.
